Ahoy, Selena! Shiver me timbers, I was just at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort a couple of months ago! This resort has been undergoing quite a transformation in the past year. The lobby was quite beautiful with its island-vibe theming. Just walking into it made me relax and feel as if I had stepped into a hidden tropical locale. During your stay there, be sure to make a dinner reservation at Sebastian's Bistro one evening. This has to be one of the prettiest dining locations I have been in at Walt Disney World Resort and the food from under the sea is quite delicious.
I am happy to report to you that most of the construction around the resort has been completed. The
Disney Skyliner is set to open soon, with the major construction of its stop at your resort finished. You may notice little bits of pixie dust being applied to the Disney Skyliner here and there around the resort, but none of it should impact your stay. The nearby
Disney's Riviera Resort is also approaching completion, with guests being welcomed to it later this fall.
While visiting your resort a few months ago, I did walk over to the Trinidad section of the resort and toured one of the swashbuckling
Pirate Rooms. In these rooms, guests will find two full-sized beds set within a pirate ship-themed base. Everything within the room as made to look as if you have actually commandeered a pirate vessel! From the patterned carpet and the mini refrigerator set within a powder keg, to the skull-adorned curtain and wooden crate dresser, you will definitely know you have entered pirate territory, matey! Microwaves are not provided in these rooms, but you are welcome to traverse over to the resort's
Quick Service location and use the microwave and toaster there.
I hope you have a magical stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
