Hi, Marina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! After not visiting Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort in many years, I was recently able to tour it to see the many new additions and also renovated guest rooms. Fairy Godmother must have stopped by in the past couple of years with her magic wand to give it a "bibbidi bobbidi boo," because I was amazed at the transformation that had taken place! Just walking into Old Port Royale made me feel like I had walked into a tropical locale with its bright colors and open-air island hideaway vibe. Of course, the best part of the new enhancements is this resort is a main hub for the
Disney Skyliner, making travel across Walt Disney World Resort literally a breeze!
Standard guest rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort have wall-mounted showerheads at this time. However, there are hand-held showers found in the wheelchair-accessible rooms. If you are in need of such a room, you can view pictures of these rooms and bathrooms, as well as search their current inventory right on the
resort's web page. When you complete a search for your travel dates, click the box for
Accessible Rooms. There are many different types of accessible rooms available, so be sure to read the description and look at the provided pictures of each to learn more about the modifications each provides.
This resort is quite large, but know that
Disney bus transportation can help you easily traverse it. When you check-in, be sure to speak with the Cast Member assisting you about the current bus routes. Each village with the resort has its own bus stop. The bus route does change periodically, mainly due to demand. Depending on your room location, you could hop on either a theme park bus or Disney Springs bus to catch a ride to Old Port Royale.
I hope this information helps you as you make your magical plans! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
