Ahoy, Brenda!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question. If you choose to book
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation, you will not need a car seat on the Disney motor coach. The seats do not support car seats, so it will need to be stowed under the bus on the way to the cruise terminal. Once aboard, you'll also need to store it because the transportation used in the ports of call for Port Adventures do not support the car seats either. Disney Cruise Line runs their motor coaches continuously from early morning (around 9:00 a.m.) until early afternoon from the Orlando Airport to the Disney Cruise Line Cruise Terminal located in Port Canaveral. The buses are quite comfortable, offer a bathroom and Disney entertainment so the land to sea transition is seamless. They will also transport your luggage for you, which is always helpful when traveling with little ones. You can
add transportation to your cruise reservation on the
Disney Cruise Line website under "My Reservations" or by calling (800) 951-3532.
Other options included renting a car from the airport and dropping it by a rental location near the cruise terminal. The rental car companies typically have a free shuttle from their office to the port. There are companies that offer shuttles from the airport as well. You can research these options on the Orlando International Airport website. I believe shuttles and rental car companies will offer car seats for an additional fee if you don't want to travel with yours.
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Brenda! If I can assist you further, please write back.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
