Hi Geri,
Welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was always my dream resort stay growing up. The theming and activities at this Resort hotel are an adventure all on their own. You and your kids are going to have so much fun exploring it while on your vacation. The best thing about this Resort hotel is that you can hop right on the monorail to head to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, making it super convenient with kids.
Traveling from the Orlando International Airport to Disney World is easy, with
several options to choose from. You can use a rideshare service, rent a car, or utilize one of the shuttle services. Mears Destination Services is the most common shuttle service used from the airport to Walt Disney World. As you mentioned, car seats are not required when utilizing this transportation. I gave them a quick call to check and they told me that the motorcoach buses do not accommodate car seats and they will be stored in the luggage compartment during your ride. If you want to use a car seat, you will need to book one of the smaller shuttle vans directly with them.
If you have not already finalized your trip plans, I highly recommend seeing if you can secure a reservation at
'Ohana for the lively Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. This is my favorite character dining experience at Disney World and is right in your Resort hotel. The food is delicious and the fun vibe is the perfect way to start your day! If you are looking for a quicker option before jumping on the monorail, stop by
Kona Island before you walk out the door for the best Caramel Macchiato and a pastry.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
