Hi Amy,
I see that you're planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort visit for this summer! How exciting! With the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival going on and all of the gorgeous blooms, incredible topiaries, and fun entertainment options that come along with that...not to mention the scrumptious bites and beverages...you're going to have a BLAST!
Regarding the capacity limitations within the parks, Disney's CEO Bob Chapek announced last November that the theme parks were operating at 35% capacity, and there has been no notice since then of any changes. While we don't know what is in the plans as far as capacity levels are concerned going forward, I can tell you that Disney is committed to making sure that all of the Cast Members and Guests and who work and play at The Most Magical Place on Earth are as safe as possible. They've made changes all around the Resort to keep everyone safe, added additional cleaning protocols, AND come up with some fantastic new ways to incorporate the magic. I LOVE the new cavalcades and flotillas where we can see our beloved Disney friends in safe, physically-distanced settings. During the phased reopening, we can all do our part to promote health and safety. By wearing our face coverings, going through temperature screenings, staying physically distanced from other Guests, and following the Health Acknowledgement (which can be found on the helpful
Know Before You Go page), we can help
make our Disney days incredible!
I'd encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates and announcements, and of course, you're always welcome here at planDisney with any other questions you may have. I hope you have a truly magical vacation this
summer!
Missy
