Can't see without eyeglasses. Does Castaway Cay rent optical masks to use while snorkeling?

    Hi Deborah!

I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question.

As someone who has had glasses for the majority of my life, I relate to your dilemma all too well. This was an ongoing problem for me, as I hate to wear contacts, but can't see without glasses or contacts. After not being able to rent an optical mask anywhere, I finally gave in and purchased a prescription mask online. All I needed was my prescription strength. My new mask, that would allow me to see everything, was less than the cost of renting equipment twice on Castaway Cay, which seems well worth it to me. I now bring my own mask (and usually fins, socks, and snorkel) with me when we cruise.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise!  Castaway Cay is one of our family's favorite places on Earth!  The white sand beach is wonderful, with plenty of umbrellas for everyone to have their own little bit of shade. If you are daring, you might even try the Pelican Plunge

Please let me know if you have further cruise questions.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
