We can't wait for our Dream cruise in August, but I've been hearing that the crowds at the pools and Castaway Cay make it difficult to find a chair. Any tips? If you put your towel on a chair does that reserve your spot? Thanks for any advice you can give!

    Hi Tracy!
It is great to hear from you again! The weeks are flying by and before you know it, it will be your turn to set sail on the spectacular Disney Dream!
Sea days are always a popular time to lounge by the pool, but there are plenty of chairs for all Guests who choose to relax on deck.  The chairs right by the pool area do go early so if you want a spot there you will have to get up early to claim your chaise.  Guests do leave towels and other personal belongings on the chairs to reserve their spot, but signs are posted that deck attendants may move items that have been left unattended for an extended period of time.  I often find a chair on Deck 12 which overlooks the pool area and also offers a pleasant breeze.  The day the ship is docked in Nassau you may have better luck with getting a spot closer to the pool since many Guests will go ashore to experience the port of call.
You will have no problem finding the perfect spot on Castaway Cay!  I was just there last week and was told that there are over 5,000 chairs available for rest and relaxation.  Many of the chairs also have umbrellas as well and the chair groupings consist of two chaise lounges and two low sitting beach chairs.  I usually pull the chairs down to the water so I can enjoy twinkling my toes in the white sand and having the turquoise water splash on my feet!
Thanks again for visiting the Moms Panel, Tracy!  If you think of any other last minute questions, please let me know!  I'm always happy to assist future cruisers like you!
Have a wonderful day and magical cruise vacation!
