I can’t tell if there is after hours on the 19th of August. I wanted my girls to c the kiss good bye since it will be their first times there. Can you tell me if it should be happening and if we do get to c it will we be able to get the shuttle back still?

    Hi there Ashlie,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to help as you prepare for your daughters' first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to pick up a complimentary 1st Visit button for them when you arrive!

I checked the Hours & Events Calendar and it appears that Magic Kingdom Park will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. that day, with Early Entry for resort guests beginning at 8:30 a.m. As of right now, there are no Extended Evening Theme Park Hours or After Hours events scheduled that day. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled for the day after your visit and guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts can enjoy additional late-night hours in Magic Kingdom Park later that week on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

My pal Elaine answered a question about Magic Kingdom's "Kiss Goodnight" for another guest last year, and I got a similar response from a Cast Member today. It seems that the show is unpredictable, which in my opinion, makes it even more magical to experience. I can't guarantee this will happen during your visit, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

In the past, this show happened about 30 minutes after the official park closing. Since resort transportation runs up to 1 hour after park closing you should be able to get back to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel without issue. Cast Members are usually on hand to assist in getting those last park guests where they need to go.

Ashlie, I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you today, but I hope your visit is as magical and memorable as possible. If you need suggestions on how to make this trip extra special please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney and let us know.

    See ya real soon!
