Hello Richard, thanks for visiting planDisney!
It sounds like you are preparing the final touches for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Your MagicBand+ can be used for so much like unlocking your Disney Resort hotel room door, entering the theme parks, and making purchases throughout the resort!
You do not have to wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort to pair your MagicBand+. I have a few suggestions on
what to do if your MagicBand+ won't pair. First, you’ll need to make sure your My Disney Experience app is updated to the latest version. Next, make sure your MagicBand+ software is up to date, you can check this in the My Disney Experience app under “Magic Bands and More”. If the software needs to be updated, please complete that step next, then check to see if you can pair your MagicBand+ to your Bluetooth.
My pal, Mandy, has also given some advice on
how to pair your MagicBand+ to your Bluetooth. She recommends turning off your Bluetooth through your phone’s settings and restarting your phone. Once your phone has restarted, return to your My Disney Experience app and go back to the “Magic Bands and More” section. In this section, you’ll tap your name and follow the prompts to turn your phone’s Bluetooth back on and repeat the steps of
pairing your MagicBand+.
If these steps are not successful, I recommend calling a friendly Cast Member for assistance at the number listed under
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+.
Richard, once you’ve arrived at Walt Disney World Resort, I suggest you keep an eye on your
MagicBand+, especially during Nighttime Spectaculars! And don’t forget to utilize the
Play Disney Parks app alongside your MagicBand+ to participate in
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and to complete the
Disney Fab50 Quest throughout all four theme parks!
I hope this was helpful Richard, please reach out to planDisney again!
