I am so excited to hear that you have purchased a new
MagicBand+ for your fast-approaching vacation! My family and I had so much fun interacting with the
Golden Sculptures throughout the theme parks and watching our bands light up and dance along with the nighttime spectaculars. It was magical! What's less than magical is hearing that you are having trouble pairing your MagicBand+, but Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" My wife had the exact same issue, and I'm more than happy to share what worked for her!
Since your MagicBand+ is fully charged, you're off to a perfect start. Now, go to your phone's "Settings," turn off Bluetooth and turn your phone off completely (My wife kept hers off for approximately 30 seconds). Then, turn your phone back on, log in to your My Disney Experience app, tap the three-line menu icon at the bottom of the screen and tap the "MagicBands and More" tile. Under your name, tap the blue link and follow the prompts to return to your phone's settings to turn your Bluetooth back on. Return to your My Disney Experience app, make sure you're back in the MagicBand section, press the button on your MagicBand+ down for ten seconds and hold your MagicBand+ close to your phone. Bibbidi ... bobbidi ... boo! Your MagicBand+ should now be paired and ready!
If your MagicBand+ still won't pair properly, I suggest that you call a helpful Cast Member with My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ at (407) 939-4357. That way, as soon as you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth, your MagicBand+ will be pixie-dusted and ready to go. Happy tapping!
