Dana,
Thanks for asking me another question at planDisney! I love to chat about dining options, it is one of the most fun parts of any Walt Disney World vacation!
Let me approach the dining question from three fronts. First, let’s chat about how to dine in the spirit of a Star Wars adventure. After that I will list out some of my standout choices in
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, followed by options at
Disney Springs.
Star Wars Dining: Return of the AppetiteThe most immersive of all the in-park dining options is not somewhere you will actually eat, but instead where you will enjoy an other-worldly drink.
Oga’s Cantina, which really does require a reservation, is a must-stop for any Star Wars experience. After walking in, your first instinct is to spot the booth where Han Solo and Greedo are chatting, if only to find out if Han did, in fact, shoot first.
(Spoiler Alert: He did!). Oh, and yes, they do have non-alcoholic beverages too.
As for dining, there are a few counter service choices. Perhaps the most popular is Ronto Roasters, for the
Ronto Wrap. It is more of a stand, with not a lot of seating around. I prefer to go to
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. This quick service option has indoor seating and one of my favorite meals, the
Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread.
One other notable stop for you is to try some blue milk from the Milk Stand. It is a requirement for any Star Wars aficionado!
Hollywood Studios Dining: Where the Stars DineWhen you navigate home from Batuu, there are a few good choices in the rest of the park. Here are my top picks.
Adult Snacking/Lounge: BaseLine Tap House, for both the beer selection, and shareable snacks.
Quick Service Dining: Woody’s Lunch Box or the ABC Commissary.
Entertaining Table Service Dining: 50’s Prime Time Café, but only if you have a good sense of humor and want to have fun.
Relaxed Table Service Dining, al fresco: The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge.
Signature Dining: The Hollywood Brown Derby.
Top Choice: 50’s Prime Time Café.
Disney Springs Dining: So many choices, so little timeLounge: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.
Food Carts: The Daily Poutine.
Quick Service: D-Luxe Burger, the Polite Pig, or Chicken Guy!
Entertaining Table Service Dining: Raglan Road or The Edison.
Comfort Food Table Service: Homecomin’ by Chef Art Smith.
Fine Dining: Wine Bar George, Morimoto Asia, or the BOATHOUSE.
Sweet Treats: Ghirardelli, Gideon’s Bakehouse, or Sprinkles.
Top Choice: Wine Bar George
So that is it. I am
ready for your next question!
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
