    Can't make up my mind....have asked others same ? but want your opinion since you have stayed in many. Moderates worth the extra $ over Values? Which is favorite moderate and value and why?

    Hi Kay!

    Personally, I do think the moderates are worth a few extra dollars if its in your budget. Now, don't get me wrong - both types of resorts are full of Disney fun, but the moderates have two big benefits for our family.

    First, the mini-fridge is a must for us. We love to keep water and drinks on hand in our room as much as possible. The moderate resorts, as I'm sure you know, include a refrigerator in all rooms while the value resorts have this as a paid option.

    Another important consideration for us are the pool areas. While the value resorts all feature quite a few fun pools, the moderate resorts all feature a pool with a slide. My kids can entertain themselves for hours (while I catch a few moments of relaxation!!) on those slides!

    Port Orleans French Quarter is by far my favorite moderate resort. This resort is the smallest of this resort category and it has a wonderful location. Located along a river, you can easily reach Downtown Disney by boat. This is a great option after you've used bus transportation for a while - it give you a change of pace and scenery! PLUS, at French Quarter you can treat yourself to a nice, fresh, hot order of Beignets! YUM!
