I cant link my admission ticket to my magic band + even though my band and app are up to date, paired and linked to my account.

    Hello, Dana,

Uh oh! Can someone please take Stitch on a Hawaiian roller coaster ride so he can take a break from causing trouble? I’m sorry you’ve been having some difficulties with getting your MagicBand+ to link with your theme park admission. Hopefully, I can offer a few tips that may help.

It appears you have already gone through a number of setup and troubleshooting steps. In case someone else looks up information on a similar issue and finds this post, I hope you don’t mind if I repeat some things you may have already tried.

    1. Make sure to have the latest version of the Disneyland mobile app downloaded. In some rare cases, it may help to uninstall and download the app again. It’s a good idea to update to the latest mobile phone operating system as well.
    2. Follow the regular MagicBand+ setup instructions.
    3. When issues arise, look through the MagicBand+ support page for tips.
    4. Be sure to fully charge the MagicBand+. That will help prepare it for Bluetooth pairing to work with both the Disneyland mobile app and the Play Disney Parks app.
    5. A few times, I have had to reset or factory reset my band, especially after having used it at Walt Disney World Resort and then trying to use it at the Disneyland Resort.
    6. If the MagicBand+ is linked to another account, here are steps to unlink a MagicBand+ and link it to another account.
    7. I’ve heard of a few instances when the name assigned to a theme park ticket can make a difference. For example, if there isn’t a name assigned or showing up on the Tickets and Passes screen of the app or if there are extra spaces or special characters in the name, there could be issues. To make changes to the names assigned to a ticket, you may call the Tickets phone line.
    8. Finally, the Cast Members at the various Guest Relations locations should be able to provide additional guidance, if needed.

I hope that helps you to fully enjoy the convenience of your MagicBand+, Dana. If you have any more questions for us here at planDisney, we’d love to hear from you again.
