If I can’t go on our cruise due to a medical issue related to pregnancy (under 24 weeks pregnant) could we transfer the cruise into my parents names?

    Hi Laura,

I'm glad you sailed by planDisney with your question; I'm happy to assist you. First, I'm sorry that your Disney Cruise Line vacation plans have changed, and wishing you good health in the days ahead.

The answer to your question depends on several factors. Typically, there is flexibility in editing your travel details. However, one thing to keep in mind is that if all names on the reservation are changed, then it is considered a cancellation and the cruise will need to be rebooked. Unfortunately, this means if the fare has increased you will pay the higher fare. If you have paid for your cruise in full or booked a Guaranteed Stateroom or a Concierge category, your cancellation may be subject to a cancellation fee. The best thing to do is to call Disney Cruise Line and allow a Reservation Specialist to assist you. They can offer you the best options and are happy to help.

Laura, I'm sending pixie dust your way that before too long you and your little sailor will be embarking on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We are here when you are ready, so please stop by planDisney with your planning questions!

Wishing you many magical moments ahead,
    Shannon
