Hi Ashton,
Welcome to planDisney! We love to see Guests sail by for the first time!
Disney Cruise Line offers Future Cruise Credits for a variety of circumstances (such as a cruise being canceled) and there are a variety of ways Guests can use their credit, so the answer to your question isn't as straightforward as I would like it to be. However, in many cases, Future Cruise Credits can be refunded if the Guest elects not to use it. The only way to know for sure is to
call Disney Cruise Line and speak with a Cast Member who will be happy to help you.
Now, if you are asking about an
Onboard Booking Offer, commonly referred to as a Placeholder Reservation, which is different from a Future Cruise Credit, the answer is simple! This offer allows you to place a deposit, which includes a discount, toward a future cruise while you are enjoying your current cruise. You have 24 months to select and sail away on another vacation. If you choose not to use the placeholder, your deposit is automatically refunded. You can also call and cancel your placeholder before the 24 months is up. It is a great way to invest in a future vacation!
Ashton, I hope this is the information you were looking for and that you can sail away again soon. Let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
