    Can't decide between Poly and GF. We stayed at ASM last year and want to upgrade. Is the upgrade to MK view worth it...guaranteed to see the fireworks from room or just as easy to see from other area in hotel? Have 5 y/o girly girl! Can we use BC pool?

    What a tough question! Both the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian are beautiful resorts and offer a great location! I think you'll love the monorail and boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom!

    The pool area at the Polynesian is a favorite of many kids - mine included! From the volcano theme and zero entry area to the sandy beach to play on, it may be hard to drag your daughter away! The pool and beach area at the Polynesian also have great views of both the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant.

    The Grand Floridian is also a great choice. The service and amenities at this resort are truly fitting of a flagship Disney resort. The Grand Floridian also offers wonderful views of the fireworks and Water Pageant from throughout the grounds.

    If you'd like to see fireworks from these resorts, there are plenty of public areas where you can easily catch the show. However, if your daughter is tired and sleepy at the end of a long day, then being able to watch the fireworks show from your room balcony is a huge luxury. Our vacations feel extra magical when we can relax in our room and see the castle lit up at night. This castle view is truly magical.

    Whichever resort you choose, it is important to note that the pools are for guests of that resort only. This means that if you choose to stay at Grand Floridian or the Polynesian then you'll need to stay at that resort's pool area only.
