I can't decide between POFQ or the Animal Kindom rooms w/ bunk beds? Traveling with 2A & 12yr + 7yr who cannot sleep together so would it be worth the extra money or enough room at the POFQ? Going in 1st week of Sept. w/ free dining plan - HELP!!!

    Hi Shiela,

Smart traveller going for the free dining! Remember to book your Advance Dining Reservations now at 407-WDW-DINE since you are less than 180 days out.

I have not stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter but have stayed at the sister resort, Riverside.  This is my favorite moderate resort.  Riverside accomodates five people by having a trundle bed pull out from one of the queen beds in the room.  I have used this feature but it is a little tight once the bed is pulled out.

I have stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with the bunkbeds and it is a nice feature.  My princesses took turns sleeping in the top bunk.  It was nice to have breakfast in the room with the animals outside our balcony. I only upgraded to this resort and feature because I got deal on the room by being an Annual Passholder.

My feeling is if money is important think about how long you are really in the room?  If you are like my family, we are never in the room so is it worth the price difference between Animal Kingdom and Port Orleans.  Other resorts which have extra space are the Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge.

If you are saving money on the food, could you take your food budget to upgrade the room?

    I hope this helps.
