I can't get into a character meal, so I was wondering which one of these 2 places would you choose. Tony's Town Square or Liberty Tree Tavern? My daughter will be celebrating her 10th Birthday. Thanks.

    Hi KarieAnn,

Double digit birthdays are a great way to celebrate at the Walt Disney World Resorts! The Magic Kingdom would be my choice for a birthday. I can imagine your disappointment at not being able to make an Advance Dining Reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table or the Crystal Palace. You can keep trying right up to the day you are celebrating for a table because guests' plans change.

With the two other table service restaurants left at Magic Kingdom, I really am not a fan of either. I like Tony's for breakfast and afternoon dessert to watch the parade. I liked Liberty Tree Tavern when the characters were there and the all you can eat feature is nice.

So I went to my expert tweens, Jessica and Nicole, to see where they would celebrate their birthdays. They suggested Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary and the Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge. Both places we have celebrated birthdays and both are a boat ride away.

They also suggested the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian restaurants to celebrate.

We all hope your princess has a magical 10th birthday!
