    Hi Norman,

I completely understand how frustrating it can feel when something doesn’t go as planned, especially when you’re trying to make the most of your Disney vacation. While I may not have all the answers, I’m here to offer some guidance and reassurance to help you get things sorted out with your Lightning Lane pass purchase and selection process.

If you’re visiting from outside the United States, it’s worth noting that you can only make Lightning Lane selections once you’re physically in the United States. I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but take heart: there’s still plenty of time to secure your favorite attractions after you arrive. Since this is a super busy time of the year, I recommend making your Lightning Lane reservations as soon as you arrive in the United States.

If you’re already in the United States and still having trouble, let’s troubleshoot together:

    • First, ensure all your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account and assigned to the correct Guests.
    • Double-check that your selection window is open. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel or other select hotels, you can purchase Lightning Lane passes and make selections starting 7 days before your check-in date for the length of your stay (up to 14 days). If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, the selection window opens 3 days in advance.
    • Last ensure that your My Disney Experience app is up to date and that you have a valid payment method on file for use.

If everything seems in order but the issue persists, don’t hesitate to ask for help:

    • Visit the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel once you arrive, where Cast Members are always ready to assist with a smile and some pixie dust.
    • Alternatively, call the My Disney Experience hotline to speak with a specialist Cast Member. They’ll be able to access your account, troubleshoot the issue, and make any necessary adjustments.

I know it can feel overwhelming when things don’t go as expected, but remember—you’re on the brink of an incredible adventure, and there’s magic waiting just around the corner. Take a deep breath, trust in the process, and know that the Cast Members are there to help make your experience as seamless and joyful as possible. You’ll be enjoying your favorite attractions before you know it!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
