I can't assign my magic+ bands to an account

    Welcome to planDisney, Lisa.

“I'm not a glitch, Taffyta. I've just got pixlexia, okay?” –Vanellope von Schweetz, Wreck-It Ralph

Whether it’s just a glitch or something, uh, different, I hope I can offer some advice to help you get your MagicBand+ set up for a magical time at the Disneyland Resort.

After running through the regular MagicBand+ setup steps, if you still have trouble linking your MagicBand+ and assigning it to theme park admission, I recommend looking through the MagicBand+ support page for more detailed troubleshooting information. If that page doesn’t help, here are some more tips I recommend:

    1. Fully charge your MagicBand+ with the included charging cable.
    2. Make sure the Disneyland mobile app installed on your mobile phone is the latest version available from your phone’s application store.
    3. Check if there are any updates available for your mobile phone’s operating system. It may also help to completely power off and restart the phone.
    4. Perform a normal reset by holding down the band’s button for about six seconds until it buzzes twice. After the band powers off, press and hold the button for one second to start it up again.
    5. A few times, I’ve had to factory reset my band. This is done by pressing the band’s button quickly, followed immediately by holding the button down for 15 seconds.
    6. If the MagicBand+ is linked to another account already, be sure to unlink it from the other account first.
    7. I’ve seen some Guests experience issues related to the name assigned to a theme park ticket, especially if there isn’t any name assigned. To make changes to the name tied to a ticket, you may call the Tickets phone line.
    8. If all else fails, you may visit any of the Guest Relations locations throughout the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Cast Members there may be able to provide additional technical assistance with your band.
    9.

I hope that helps you on your way toward magical experiences with your MagicBand+, Lisa. In the meantime, I’ll see if I can distract Stitch so we can avoid any more, uh, glitches.

    See ya real soon,
    ~Tony
