Hi Vanessa,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for sailing by with another question.
I know we all want to look our best when cruising with Captains Mickey and Minnie, so let's see if I can help. I'm glad you are checking into whether your beloved hair care item will be permitted on the ship.
Items brought on board must comply with the ship's electrical system. Hairdryers must be
220V/2000 watts max or 110V/1500 watts max. Hair curling irons and flat irons are permitted.
You should be able to find the voltage and wattage information on the handle of your device, but it sounds like that isn't working for you. If you can't or don't have the item's box, I suggest looking up the item online. I just did a deep dive online and couldn't find the information, but that looks like a great curler! So, I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line directly and speaking with a Cast Member. Even if the Cast Member gives you the green light, I highly recommend placing it in your carry-on baggage so that you can stop by the Chief Electrician (who will be available in the check-in area to answer questions) just to make sure. If the item is not approved, they will store it until the end of your cruise when you can pick it up in the luggage hall after disembarking. Keep in mind that Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to seize and secure any item deemed to pose a safety risk.
If looking and feeling your best is at the top of your wish list, be sure to peruse the offerings at
Senses Spa & Salon. One of my favorite things to do is spend some time in the Rainforest, a rainforest-themed aromatherapy steam and relaxation room. It is pure bliss!
I hope this information helps you get your
packing list organized, Vanessa. Thanks, again, for visiting planDisney; come back any time!
Cheers to magical memories,
Shannon
