When will the cane pole fishing at port Orleans riverside open back up?

Hey there, hi there, William! Welcome! We are so glad you stopped by with your question.

There is nothing in the world like some good, old-fashioned, cane pole fishing - unless of course you can do it at Walt Disney World - then it's even better.

I'm super happy to be able to tell you, William, that cane pole fishing is back at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. You can grab your can of worms and head on over to the Fishin' Hole on Ol' Man Island - and actually, you don't even need your own can of worms. They have everything there for you. The catch and release fishing experience doesn't require reservations, and they are open from 7 AM until 3 PM (hours and prices are subject to change without notice - especially if the weather is bad).

You might see catfish, bluegill, and bass, all of which are stocked in the fishing areas. And did we talk about what a bargain this is? Currently, it's about $4 for a half-hour for one person, or you can take a family of up to 6 people for about $12.50.

I love having experiences that go beyond the theme parks, William. This is a great activity to do while you are on vacation, and a wonderful way to enjoy some of the tranquility of this resort.

I hope the fish are biting for you, William!
