What is your cancellation policy on hotel reservations ?

Hello there, Dennis, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for coming to us with your question. I'm sorry to hear that you might need to cancel a hotel reservation. I do hope that you will be able to reschedule your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth at some point.

If you made a Room Only Reservation, then per the Terms and Conditions, you will receive a full refund if you cancel 5 or more days in advance. Otherwise, a penalty of the first night's fee will be incurred. You may cancel or change your reservation on-line through your Disneyland account or by calling Hotel Reservation Guest Services

If you reserved a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, it gets a bit more complicated. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance will receive a full refund. If the cancellation is made 5 to 29 days before your visit, you will be charged a cancellation fee ($200 as of the time of this writing, subject to change) but otherwise will receive a refund. No refund is given if the cancellation is made 4 days or less prior to arrival.

I've had a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort during their Disney100 Celebration and I hope that you get the chance to visit as well! We've got some exciting changes on the horizon, such as Tiana's Palace opening in New Orleans Square and San Fransokyo Square debuting in Disney California Adventure! Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and announcements!

Dennis, I hope I was able to answer your question. Please let us know if there is anything else you need and don't hesitate to come by again anytime!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
