Hello, Katherine! Thank you for taking the time to send in your question to planDisney. We've been living in a world filled with uncertainty and last-minute cancelations, so I am happy to provide you with some advice. I'm so glad you're planning to return to the magic soon, though!
I've stayed at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa with my family, and my favorite thing about this lovely hotel is the proximity to the parks. The back door entrance to
Disney California Adventure Park is a game-changer; I remember going from the park to the
Redwood Pool and back to the park again in the span of a couple of hours!
Disneyland Resort's cancelation policy depends on how you decide to book your room. If you go with a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, including your room and theme park tickets, you can cancel up to 30 or more days in advance with no repercussions. Packages canceled between 29 and 2 days before arrival pay a $200 cancel fee. There is no cancellation fee for Room Only reservations up to five days before arrival. If canceled four days or fewer prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is one day's hotel charge. In the event that you need to cancel, give the
Walt Disney Travel Company a call at (714) 520-5060.
I hope all goes well with your upcoming vacation, Katherine! Don't forget that you can make online dining reservations for all Disneyland Resort restaurants up to 60 days in advance. Two of my favorites,
Napa Rose and
Storytellers Cafe (Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet), are conveniently located in the Grand Californian Hotel, so definitely keep them on your shortlist!
