Hiya, Timothy and welcome back to planDisney!
First of all, I want to wish you a VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I can't think of a better way to ring in 30 wonderful years than at
The Most Magical Place on Earth. With only a few days before your trip, I'm sure you're ready to put the final touches on your vacation!
Timothy, I completely understand the disappointment when looking for a certain type of
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and not finding the availability you were hoping for. While there isn't a waitlist currently available for Disney Resort hotels, I have a few suggestions for you that I think may work well!
At the time of this writing, it appears as though a couple of
Moderate Resort Hotels are available to book! Not only that, but they just so happen to be two of my absolute favorite Disney Resort hotels. You may want to look into booking a room at either
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort or
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside for the dates of your trip. Both offer newly-updated rooms, stunning atmospheres, and great dining options!
My next suggestion would be to consider a split stay! This means that you would stay in one hotel for your first night, then transfer to a second hotel for your second night. This is a great way to have multiple experiences paired together in one trip! As of today, it looks as though
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is available from March 13-14 and
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is available from March 14-15. The best news is that Bell Services will transfer your luggage from one resort to another! All you need to do is drop off your luggage at Bell Services when you check out of your first hotel prior to 11:00 AM. Then, you can pick up your luggage at Bell Services when you check into your new hotel! Please note that luggage transfers can take several hours, so I always like to make sure that I have my necessities (and even a couple of extra t-shirts) with me, just in case! Pro tip: I like to make sure I tip Bell Services for kindly transferring our bags!
No matter where you stay, make sure you ask for a complimentary "I'm Celebrating!" button from the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel!
You'll also want to make sure that you make Theme Park Reservations through the
Disney Park Pass system! This is the best way to reserve the parks you'd like to visit during your trip. I'd also recommend taking some time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app! A little like your own personal magic wand, this will help you to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. You'll be able to view park maps, check wait times for attractions, and even
mobile order food! I love knowing that my meals and snacks will be ready for me before I ever feel a rumbly in my tumbly.
I hope I was able to give you some options for your anniversary, Timothy! I'm wishing you the BEST. DAY. EVER!
See ya real soon!
Michelle
