What is the cancellation fee for a Disney hotel & ticket package

    Welcome to planDisney, Peggy!

I'm glad you stopped by with your question, and happy to review the current Vacation Package policies.

It looks like you have a visit sometime next weekend, but I understand that, unfortunately, even the most meticulously scheduled plans are sometimes forced to pivot. According to the Walt Disney Travel Company Terms & Conditions for 2026, a Room & Ticket package that includes both a Disney Resort Collection hotel reservation and theme park admission can be canceled up to 30 days before check-in for a full refund (minus any cancellation fees assessed by third-party hotels or other suppliers). Cancellations made within 2-29 days before check-in will receive a refund minus a $200 cancellation fee. If you cancel 1 day before check-in or no-show, you will forfeit the full cost of the package.

Based on an arrival date of February 22nd, you are already within that 2-29-day window. You can reach out to a Cast Member with the Tickets and Hotel Reservations Team by phone for assistance in canceling, but I'd also like to suggest an alternate option. If you already have new travel dates in mind, you can also request changes to your existing package, including adjustments to dates, length of stay, party size, or resort (subject to availability). Note that you'll be responsible for any increased costs to your adjusted package, but the fee for changes made within 30 days of arrival is currently less than the $200 fee for canceling altogether.

There is always something exciting happening at Walt Disney World Resort, like the upcoming EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which kicks off in early March, the much-anticipated reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park this spring, and the return of Cool Kid Summer. I visited with my daughter just last weekend, and I can't wait to return for even more attractions, snacks, and simple moments taking in the beautiful sights and sounds again next month.

Peggy, I hope you can adjust your plans and still soak up some magic. No matter what you decide, you're sure to find the perfect time to visit! Please come back and see us again with more planning questions when you're ready. We're always here to help!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
