Lauren,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Just a few months ago I had this exact situation. Because of some weather issues back in November, I had a
Disney Resorts Collection room reservation that I had to cancel. I did call in for assistance, because with the date of the visit coming up so quickly, I wanted to be sure that the cancellation and related refund were processed promptly. I saw my refund about 48 hours after calling. If you feel like you should have seen a refund by now, you can find the right phone number to call at their
Help Center. For Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, the number is
(407) 939-1936.
A few things to note. If you booked through a travel agent, you should ask them to assist as well. They might have more insight into the status of a refund. Also, if you cancel between 2 to 29 days prior to the arrival date, you will still have to pay a cancellation fee, which is often around $200, but can vary based on different vacation packages. Also, in the few times I have had to cancel something, they always have made it clear that refunds had to be made via the same method of payment as used when booking. So, the refund in my case had to be made to the same card I used when booking. That was not a problem for me, but something to be aware of.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
