We have to cancel our trip entirely in October 2021. 😭 We cancelled all our reservations for parks. Will our 7-day park tripper pass that has not been used at all be good October 2022? Thanks!

    Greetings Peter!

I’m delighted to welcome you to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

I’m so sorry you have to cancel your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. I know how hard that is; I, too, have had my share of rescheduled trips. However, I want you to turn that frown upside down, Peter. Rest assured, The Most Magical Place on Earth will be here waiting for you once you’re ready to embark on your magical adventures!

Peter, if you booked a Vacation Package and decided to cancel, the theme park tickets will also be canceled with it. You are able to cancel your Vacation Package 30 days prior to your arrival date with no penalty; please note, additional fees apply if the cancellation occurs less than 30 days. However, if you purchased the tickets separately, you would be able to change the theme park ticket dates on your My Disney Experience account! Also, wholly unused tickets, even when expired, keep their monetary value, so you would be able to apply the value of those tickets to new ones should you need to. There may be a price difference you would need to pay if there is a price increase on tickets.

Before we discuss any further about modifying the dates of your tickets, I would recommend you first check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to be sure there is availability during the new dates of your visit. Once you’ve checked and confirmed there are park passes available, you are ready to change the date of your tickets!

-Open up your My Disney Experience Mobile app
-Click on the three horizontal lines located on the bottom
    -Select “Tickets and Passes”
-Locate the tickets you’d like to change and select “Change Ticket”

Once you’ve followed the steps and confirmed your new dates, you’re all set! Do remember to make those Disney Park Pass reservations for your new dates as soon as you do can. Until then, I hope you'll bring some of the Disney magic into your own home by following planDisney's Instagram account! You'll find lots of helpful tips and tricks for your future magical vacation.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic when the time is right, Peter!
