Hi Roy!
Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by with a question for us today. I hope you won't have to cancel your upcoming
Vacation Package, but I understand that sometimes life throws a wrench into the most meticulously made plans. Let's walk through the details.
While theme park tickets are non-refundable, room and ticket Vacation Packages have a bit more flexibility. According to the
current terms and conditions, guests who cancel more than 30 days before scheduled arrival will receive a refund, minus any associated third-party fees or non-refundable travel protection costs. If you were to cancel within 2-29 days of arrival you'll be refunded according to the above with an additional $200 cancelation fee imposed. No-shows or cancelations within 1 day of arrival are considered non-refundable. Additionally, refunds are not available in the event of early departure from the hotel or for unused admission on theme park tickets.
If you cancel your trip within the appropriate timeline a refund will be issued to the original form of payment used when you completed the booking. Guests can typically expect the refund to process within 9-10 days, but it may take additional time to post to your credit or debit card depending on the card issuer's policies.
You are also welcome to
contact a Cast Member by phone for assistance in modifying your existing package should you decide to adjust your travel dates. You might find a timeframe that works better instead of canceling your visit altogether. As you make your decision be sure to consider the many
exciting offerings available at Walt Disney World Resort this year. The fun will be in full bloom during
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this spring and
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is sure to have guests wishing on a star when it debuts later this year. I know I can't wait to experience it for myself!
I hope you'll find the perfect reason and season to visit this year, Roy. If we can assist with any other planning questions please come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
