If you cancel a dining reservation, does it immediately open a time for someone else? or does the dining capacity for all restaurants refresh at one time daily? Does the system update as soon as the opening is available, or only the next morning at 6 am?

    Hi Cynthia!

Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite parts of vacation planning is dining reservations. Trying to make dining reservations for a party of six where one is a vegetarian, one is diabetic and one is carb conscious can be tricky. Thankfully there is always a food option for everyone at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Cynthia, great question! Typically, when you cancel a dining reservation, it immediately populates into the system for other Guests to view. This allows Guests who are online at the same time the reservation is dropped to reserve the timeslot you canceled. You can make dining reservations 60 days prior to your stay, or if staying on property, you can make reservations 60 + 10 days prior. In other words, you can make reservations for the entirety of your stay at the 60-day mark.

I truly hope this helps you plan a most magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!
