Being from Canada we're not eligible for the Disney VISA card, but can we use a regular VISA card at snack shops, counter service restaurants and table service restaurants? We'd really like to minimize the amount of cash we carry. Thanks!

    Hi Glenda,

Yes. The vast majority of retail and food service locations at Disney's parks and resorts do take credit cards as payment. Essentially all table service and counter service restaurants accept credit cards as payment. You might encounter one or two small ice cream or snack carts in the parks that only take cash, but these are rare. Visa cards will be accepted anywhere at Walt Disney World where credit cards are accepted, as will MasterCard, American Express, and several others.

To make things even easier, you are welcome to set up an account at your Disney hotel where you can charge all of your purchased on your room key directly to your hotel. I almost always do this and it makes paying for food and souvenirs incredibly easy. The check-in clerk at your hotel will explain to you how to do this.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
