We are camping at Fort Wilderness. I understand there is parking to use the day of arrival. What time can you start parking there? We are driving a considerable distance and didn't know if we could arrive any time after midnight? or certain hours?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Stacey!

Over the river and through the woods to Mickey Mouse's house you go!  I am so excited to hear that you are kicking off the holidays at The Most Magical Place on Earth.  I will be visiting at the same time and I am looking forward to checking out the festive decorations and merry motorcades to celebrate the season!

Although I am not staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort this time, I stayed here with my son last summer and fell in love with this resort.  After a day in the parks, it was wonderful to return to the peace and calm of this wooded oasis.

After your long drive, rest assured that with a reservation, you can park here no matter what time your wagon pulls in on your check in day.  When you arrive, look for the "green light" at one of the check-in stations at the main entrance to the campground.  If all lights are red, park your vehicle and head inside the Reception Outpost building where a Cast Member can get you checked in and direct you the area where you can park until your campsite is available.  If you are traveling in a RV or portable camper, just be aware there will not be electrical or water hook-ups for you to use until you get to your campsite.  There are bathrooms in the Reception Outpost building if you need a break before calling it a night!

Once you are settled in at your campsite, I hope you enjoy this resort as much as we did.  During our stay, we loved seeing the different decorations at each campsite.  During the holidays, campers really go all out with their Disney-themed lights and décor!  Many Guests also rent golf carts to travel around this expansive resort and decorate those as well.  This campground truly has a festive vibe!

Circle your wagon back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before you arrive, Stacey!

    See ya real soon!  Angie
