Howdy there, partner!
I am so glad your wagon train lead you to planDisney with your question, Jeff! It sounds like you are kicking off the holiday season with an adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I just returned from a visit to the house of mouse myself, and Walt Disney World Resort is
covered in
holiday pixie dust!
Although I did not stay at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for this most recent visit, my son and I stayed here last summer and we fell in love with this resort! After a day celebrating the season in the parks, the campsites are an oasis allowing you to unwind in the peace and quiet of this wooded resort.
As you plan to arrive before check-in time, I would recommend you use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to complete your check-in online before your vacation starts. During the
online check-in, you can prioritize any requests on your reservation, including early availability of your campsite. It is not a guarantee you will have access to a campsite early, but it does help the Cast Members manage your reservation and get you settled in as soon as possible. You can also ask a Cast Member at the resort when you arrive if any campsites are available if you do not have any preferences on location!
If a campsite is not available when you arrive, you can also leave your vehicle in the resort parking lot and jump on the
complimentary bus transportation to any of the theme parks or Disney Springs so you can get your vacation started!
Mosey on back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your trip, Jeff!
See ya real soon! Angie
