Howdy Stephanie!
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney, a group of the rootinest tootinest Disney vacation enthusiasts this side of
Disneyland Resort! I’m so glad that you decided to bring your question here, and it would be my pleasure to help round up an answer for you. We all shouted a YEE-HAW when we heard the news that
Disneyland Resort would soon reopen, and I am sure you are eager to make your way back into the magic.
Upon the reopening of
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. Park attendance is managed through a new
theme park reservation system that will require all Guests to obtain a park reservation for park entry in advance. At this time, only California residents may visit the parks, and proof of residency may be required.
As a California resident, you will be able to purchase
theme park tickets and
make theme park reservations for you and your boyfriend. Please keep in mind that you both may need to show proof of residency at the gate before being admitted into the theme parks. Typically this is done by presenting a government-issued state ID such as a driver’s license. I highly recommend that your boyfriend obtain proof of California residency before purchasing theme park tickets or making park reservations. You can contact Ticket Services at (714) 781-4636 to speak with a Cast Member about other acceptable forms of proof of residency.
I hope this information gets you and your boyfriend on your way to planning your return to the magic of
Disneyland Resort! Please remember that you’ve got a friend in us here at
planDisney, so stop back by any time we can lasso an answer for you.
