Hiya Jackie!
Welcome to planDisney. Thanks so much for stopping by.
I was elated to hEAR the news that Disneyland Resort will be
reopening its gates for Guests on April 30th! It will be a happy day for so many people! As a Texan myself, I will be waiting eagerly and patiently until The Happiest Place on Earth is able to open its doors for out-of-state Guests, as well!
Jackie, I love that you’re wanting to give the gift of magic to your family; however, because the attendance will be limited to the residents of California, at this time only Guests who reside in the state of California can make their
Theme Park Pass reservations. This will be done through each Guest’s
Disney account which should be linked to their home address. Unless your family’s addresses show a California address, you will not be able to make a reservation for them. Guests will also be asked to confirm that they are living in the state of California while making Theme Park reservations and may be asked to show proof of residency at the entrance. As of now, groups of no larger than 3 households may make Theme Park reservations.
Although it’s not the news you had hoped for, I do feel this is a huge step in the right direction. Hopefully, very soon, you’ll also be able to invite your family to visit The Happiest Place on Earth with you! Until then, I would encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the Disneyland Resort website, as they will be the first to give the latest updates.
We can’t wait to welcome your family back to the magic when the time is right, Jackie!
Aena
