When do the calendars go out? Going next June and trying to plan. And also we are staying at Poly. What’s the best building (garden view)?

Hi, Crystal! I am also a planner and love to get as much information as possible as soon as I can.  Usually, the Walt Disney World website releases the monthly calendars approximately six months out from the current month. For example, April 2013 just came online at the first of the month. Keep checking back at www.WaltDisneyWorld.com. You should expect June to come online at the beginning of December.  When it does, select the theme park you want to check from the menu at the top of the page. On the new page, select Calendar from the menu on the left. From the drop-down menu, choose the month you need to view. When the calendar appears, the daily park hours and any Extra Magic Hours will be listed. To view the parade and nighttime event schedule, simply click on the numeral of the date you are interested in attending. Repeat for each of the parks. All of the magic is at your fingertips.

There isn't really longhouse I don't love at the Polynesian Resort, but my preferences in standard garden view rooms are Tokelau Longhouse, Tahiti Longhouse, and Niue Longhouse.  These place you close to the Great Ceremonial House (where the Resort monorail stop is) as well as close enough to walk to the nearby Transportation and Ticket Center.  From there, you can catch the ferry or monorail to the Magic Kingdom or a monorail to Epcot. This speeds up travel to both parks. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
