Hello Claire!
It looks like you are planning an exciting vacation next year! I know many of our friends from the United Kingdom are anxiously awaiting the ability to return to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I can tell you are excited to have your reservation settled and to begin planning all the exciting details of your trip! I am a planner myself by nature, and when I am ready to book, I want to have everything planned down to the day.
There is not a calendar type tool to view Walt Disney World Resort Hotel availability for cash reservations.
Disney Vacation Club Members can see a tool like this on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website, but it wouldn’t be helpful for those booking on cash, since these are different booking categories and groups of rooms.
As with so many things in the past year, there is still a lot we don’t know, and
a lot of changes as to what is open, and when we can book. I am taking two sets of friends and their families to Walt Disney World this summer, and not already having our
Advance Dining Reservations is making me nutty! At this point in time, there is just not a way to know what availability will be like at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas in May 2022 because the resort isn’t yet available to be booked. You should be able to see this on the Disney Website and hopefully book this resort in summer 2021, after Disney Vacation Club Members have begun making their reservations. As a Disney Vacation Club Member whose Home Resort is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, I do have quite a bit of experience booking this resort. While I cannot know for certain what will happen, if I were going to make an educated guess, I think if you book early, and are a little flexible on room type, you are very likely to be able to book a room for 10 days. For example, be flexible for either standard view or savanna view. The only room type I would think would be challenging to book would be if you were looking for a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa. Those rooms are very limited and can book quickly.
My other advice would be to know that there are
many unique and amazing resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort. Even if by some chance you were not able to book Kidani Village, there are sure to be several other fantastic resorts to choose from. I have stayed at most of the resorts on property, and if Kidani Village is not available, I would be happy to offer recommendations and guidance on your other choices.
Sending you pixie dust for booking your preferred resort, Claire!
