Hello there, Donald,
Thanks for bringing us your question. I'm glad to help!
You are correct that guests using the
latest Southern California Resident Ticket offer must show proof of eligible residency within zip codes 90000-93599. Proof of residency is required for purchase as well as admission by each guest. I'm glad that you'll be able to take advantage of this great deal, but unfortunately, your guest will not be able to enter without the appropriate ID.
But no need to say, "Aw, Phooey!" Accidents happen and the value paid for these tickets hasn't been lost. I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that your guest can upgrade their wholly unused So Cal Resident Ticket and apply the value to new
Standard Theme Park Tickets. Keep in mind the new tickets must be of equal greater value. I'd also like to mention that Standard Theme Park Tickets have a different expiration period than the So Cal Ticket offer. If you're planning to visit across multiple dates within the So Cal usage window of January 2 through June 2, 2024, your guest will need to choose their dates carefully. Standard Theme Park Tickets expire 13 days from the first use, whereas the So Cal offer can be used on non-consecutive days within the usage window, subject to blockout dates and theme park reservation availability. I'm sure you'll be able to find dates that work for your travel party so you can enjoy the magic together!
When you're ready to make the necessary upgrade you can
contact the Ticket Team by phone. Cast Members will be available to assist you daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. As the original credit card purchaser you'll need to be on the call in addition to your guest. Once the tickets are adjusted be sure to
secure the necessary theme park reservations before your visit. You'll need reservations as well as valid admission to enter the parks each day.
I hope this helped, Donald! Come back and see us again with any other planning needs!
Magic and memories,
Amy
