Oh, my Disney, Kelly! I hEAR you are arriving tomorrow, and you are staying at
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! Do you have any extra room in your luggage for me?! We spent a week there last summer in a Two-Bedroom Villa that was
Practically Perfect in Every Way. I loved the rustic nods to the Pacific Northwest, especially the Disney themed totem poles and the geyser on property that erupts every hour! You'll also see that the Imagineers embraced Walt Disney's love of trains throughout the resort.
Unfortunately, I did not get to stay in a waterfront cabin on that trip (#Disneybuckeylist), but I was lucky to be treated to a tour of one. I looked back at my photos of the cabin's kitchen, and there was a full-size (10-12 cup) traditional Mr. Coffee drip style coffee maker, which is typical of most DVC Villas. Joffrey's coffee is provided when you check-in and replenished on scheduled housekeeping days. I also picked up a bottle of my favorite flavored creamer from the
Wilderness Lodge Mercantile Store.
Grab your steaming cup of joe, and make sure to enjoy the sunrise from the screened porch. This is also a great spot to relax in the evenings, due to the double-sided stone-hearth fireplace (the embers glow different colors) and the built-in hot tub! If I may make one more suggestion, schedule a visit to enjoy a waterside cocktail at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill; my personal pick is the Huckleberry Punch! This is also a lovely place to dine al fresco with big comfy chairs and views of Bay Lake.
If you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again at planDisney. Have a great time returning to the magic, Kelly!
