Ahoy, Veda!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again!
Castaway Cay is my absolute favorite port of call, and I know you and your granddaughters will have a magical day there. From the moment you step off the ship, you'll see whimsical Disney touches among the lush, tropical landscape. The white sandy beaches are perfect for lounging and sand castle building and the beautiful, turquoise water is calm and ideal for floating and snorkeling.
On the island, you will find private, beach cabanas that can be booked online when your online booking window opens up. They typically are reserved very quickly because they are quite popular with Guests and also limited in number. If there are any available, you will see them listed under the options for
"Port Adventures" for Castaway Cay when you are logged in to your cruise reservation. If you don't have any luck, be sure to check online regularly because cancellations do happen. I also suggest stopping by
Guest Services or the Port Adventure Desk once aboard to have your name put on a waitlist because sometimes a cabana becomes available while onboard. And if you don't have any luck, you'll be happy to know there are lots of shady spots to relax on the island and plenty of large beach umbrellas. You will have no problem finding one with beach chairs and chaise lounges for you and the girls.
It was a pleasure assisting you again, Veda. Please keep us posted as you think of additional questions about your enchanted journey aboard Disney Cruise Line!
Have a wonderful day!
Nancy
