Hey there, Deana; welcome to planDisney!
Because my boys are Toy Story Land super fans, I visit
Disney’s Hollywood Studios more than I ever have before. (And I’m kind of obsessed with it now.) Let’s get into how you can catch some of your favorite characters in Andy’s Backyard.
On any given visit to Toy Story Land, even without checking the Walt Disney World website and
My Disney Experience App listed times, my family sees
Buzz and Woody in their respective areas multiple times. Sometimes the queues are short and sometimes they’re long. There isn’t much rhyme or reason to which it will be during one of the times that you’ll see them.
However, for example, if you see in the “Characters” filter in the app’s map that Buzz will arrive to his spot near the giant Woody figure at 1 p.m., get there about 5-10 minutes beforehand. Sometimes while in line for any character meet-and-greet at the Resort, the characters will take a break. Don’t worry; they will return promptly. If you miss one meet-and-greet, take a spin on one of the three Toy Story Land attractions and try again later. There’s nearly always a character (even the Green Army Men) marching around the area.
AN EXTRA GEM: You can also find tastes of
Toy Story around the Resort. Woody is often featured in Magic Kingdom Park’s
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. You can find its showtimes in the My Disney Experience App or on its Walt Disney World webpage. You can even hear some of those iconic Toy Story songs like “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” during Happily Ever After fireworks show or by asking your
“Hey Disney!” voice assistant to play them for you during your Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay.
Deana, please don’t hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit. It’s almost here—eek! Happy planning!
Magic always,
LeAndra
