Welcome to planDisney, Shelia! I'm excited to hear you'll be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth soon!
Even if you're a local, planning a trip to Disneyland Resort often needs to be done months in advance. In the meantime, things come up, and schedules sometimes change. Before making a big-ticket purchase (pun intended), it's smart to know all the protocols. According to
Disney's eTicket Terms and Conditions,
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable. However, you'll still have plenty of time to use your tickets later if you cannot keep your original travel plans. One-day tickets purchased this year are valid now through December 30, 2023. If you buy multi-day tickets, they must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2024, whichever occurs first. If anyone needs to reschedule their trip, they simply need to pick new dates and then make corresponding
theme park reservations. I always advise checking the
theme park reservation availability calendar before nailing down plans. If your theme park tickets expire, you can still apply their value towards the purchase of new tickets; you'll just need to pay the difference if there is a price increase.
I hope your family has the best time, Sheila! Consider booking a fun character meal to celebrate; my favorite for large groups is
Goofy's Kitchen at the
Disneyland Hotel. You get to see Goofy and his pals, and the buffet features fun food for kids and adults (don't miss the peanut butter and jelly pizza)!
