Buying a 2 day park hopper pass. For our group of 6 people, 1- 5 year old and 1- 8 year old. Magic Kingdom the 1st day then Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, which park should we start with first? How long does it take to get from each park?

    Kris,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

From your question I am assuming that you are spending the whole first day at the Magic Kingdom Park. With younger children in your party, that is a great idea! As for your second day, I think your best bet is start at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park before heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

    Why?
Well, the animals in the Animal Kingdom are just more active in the morning. Also, that park has a less lively evening schedule since fireworks are not a part of the park's entertainment. The noise would disturb the furry, scaly, and feathery residents of the park! So go there first, and then when it is time to park hop (at 2 pm or later) you can catch the bus to make the 25-minute or so trip. Those buses actually will start running at around 1:30 PM, but regardless of when you choose to go, remember that others are likely doing the same thing, so you may have to wait a bit for a bus.

    BONUS TIP
When getting ready to park hop, just call (407) 560-5000. That is the Park Hopping Hotline (or at least that is what I call it!), and it will tell you the status of all the parks, and if the park you want to hop to has space.

Now if this does not exactly answer your question, or you have more questions about the transportation from where you are staying to any of the parks, please do feel free to write me back directly. I am always glad to help.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
