Can I buy Walt's Main Street Story as a gift for someone else?

Welcome to planDisney, William, where we live by the Imagineering quote, "If you can dream it, you can do it!" You are generous to give the gift of Disney, so let's see how you can book a tour for your lucky pal when they next visit Disneyland Resort!

I chatted with a magical Cast Member named Troy who told me you can purchase Walt's Main Street Story Tour for someone else, so I did a test run to see how it would work online. I clicked Check Availability on the tour's home page, chose the desired date, and specified one guest would be attending. I could pick a morning or afternoon time and then see my subtotal. When I clicked Continue, Guest Information was populated with my name, but I deleted my name and entered my friend's.

Some things to keep in mind are that this tour is non-transferrable, so be sure you don't skip entering your friend's name. According to the "Know Before You Go" section, this tour can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance. You will pay in full at check-out, and I noticed that Disney Visa Card holders get a discount!

The Cast Member also told me you will receive an email confirmation, so I suggest forwarding that to your friend with a note explaining your surprise. Your friend will provide their name and email confirmation when they check in for the tour. My tip is to print the tour's particulars and put them in a festive greeting card or gift bag for your friend to open. Maybe add some confetti for an extra sprinkle of pixie dust!

The highlight of this tour for me is the tour of Walt Disney's apartment over the Disneyland Fire Station on Main Street, USA. I visited at night while the parade went by below, and as I watched from the famous window that overlooks the Town Square, I truly felt Walt's presence.

I hope your friend is as moved and thrilled by this tour as I was, William! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
