Hello Natron, and welcome to planDisney! I'm glad you found us to help you with your important question.
Walt Disney World Resort has introduced the
Disney Park Pass reservation system to manage theme park attendance. At this time, all Guests ages 3 and up require both an admission ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation in order to enter a theme park. Theme park reservations are limited, and I know some upcoming dates are currently showing no availability for
Magic Kingdom Park.
Guests who have purchased a ticket with the
Park Hopper Option will only need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park they plan to visit each day -- no reservations are required to "hop" to another park. If Magic Kingdom Park does not have reservations available on the date(s) you would like to visit, you might consider making a Disney Park Pass reservation for a different theme park with
current availability, and then visiting Magic Kingdom Park after 2:00 pm when park hopping hours begin. To be eligible to park hop, Guests must first have entered the park for which they hold a reservation that day. I recommend making your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you have purchased your tickets, as availability can change at any time.
Natron, if instead you were asking if you could purchase tickets to Magic Kingdom Park without a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, then yes - as long as Disney Park Pass reservations are available, there is no requirement to be a hotel Guest to purchase tickets.
