Welcome to planDisney, Bridget!
I have visited the Magic Kingdom with my own 3-year-old, and let me tell you, he had an absolute blast!
I recommend that you start off with some iconic attractions like
Peter Pan's Flight and
Dumbo the Flying Elephant before moving onto a beginner roller coaster like
The Barnstormer. If your 3-year-old is like mine and loves a thrill, see if they are tall enough for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
No visit to the Magic Kingdom would be complete for my 3-year-old without a lap around the racetrack at
Tomorrowland Speedway before saving the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg on
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
One attraction that I would shy away from when my little guy was 3 was
The Haunted Mansion. For him, it was just a little too dark.
In terms of food and treats, you will find no shortage of things to tempt even the pickiest of appetites. My little one's favorite treat was the Mickey Pretzel. It was as big as his head, and he ate almost every last bite!
Bridget, to purchase tickets, head on over to the official Walt Disney World Resort website and click on "Things to Do" then select "
Theme Park Tickets."
After you purchase your tickets you will need to make a
Disney Park Pass system reservation. These reservations are no extra charge but are required for entry. You can easily make these reservations through your
My Disney Experience Account after you purchase your tickets. Your My Disney Experience Account is a tool for keeping all of your magical plans safe and sound in one location.
I do recommend checking the
Availability Calendar to make sure that Disney Park Pass system reservations are available on your desired day before you make your purchase.
If you have the chance to add an extra day to your visit, I would recommend Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here your little one can shrink down to the size of a toy to play with Woody and Buzz in
Andy's Backyard before joining
Elsa for a sing-along celebration.
I just know that you will have the most magical time, Bridget!
See you real soon!
