Welcome to planDisney, Annette! We are glad you brought your question to us. It looks like you are planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort soon, so let's get right to it!
During the phased reopening period of Walt Disney World Resort, the
Disney Park Pass system was implemented to manage theme park attendance. At this time, all Guests ages 3 and up will need both a Disney Park Pass reservation as well as a valid admission ticket in order to enter a theme park.
Theoretically, it is possible to purchase tickets at the gate. However, I don't recommend planning to do this. If no Disney Park Pass reservations are available, you will not be able to buy a ticket for that day. I'd hate to see you show up at a theme park and be disappointed. I recommend taking a look at the
theme park reservation availability calendar to see which parks have reservations available for your selected date. I have been keeping an eye on the reservation calendar, and I know some dates have little to no availability. Once you
purchase your tickets online and
link them to your
My Disney Experience account, I recommend you then immediately make your Disney Park Pass reservations. Reservations are limited and availability can change at any time.
I know that is likely not what you were hoping to hear. I will be wishing that some pixie dust will make its way to you so that you can secure the tickets and reservations you are searching for. Another option for you might be to visit
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. No reservations are necessary to visit the water parks. If you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again. We are always happy to help.
