Can I buy tickets for December 31st to visit Epcot during the day and stay at the park for the new years show?

    Hi Pamela!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Celebrating New Year’s Eve at EPCOT is an incredible experience, and I’m excited to help you plan your day. The celebration usually includes special entertainment, DJs, and a breathtaking fireworks show, so you will surely have a magical time!

You can absolutely purchase a ticket for December 31st to enjoy EPCOT during the day and stay to ring in the new year! To do this, you’ll want to buy a standard theme park ticket for EPCOT. Keep in mind that while park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets, because this is a holiday, EPCOT (and other Walt Disney World theme parks) can reach capacity, so it is a good idea to get there early to ensure admittance. If you are staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, don’t forget you can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, a 30-minute head start on all other Guests!

Pamela, since you will be enjoying EPCOT on New Year's Eve, I’d love to share some of the best places to enjoy a few drinks or cocktails. I always start with the Mexico Pavilion, where La Cava del Tequila offers an impressive selection of tequilas and margaritas, such as the popular Dos Hombres Avocado Margarita. Next, head over to the France Pavilion for a visit to Les Vins des Chefs de France, where you can sip on a refreshing Grand Marnier Orange Slush or a classic Kir Royale while enjoying the charming ambiance of Paris. The Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion is a traditional British pub serving classic pints, cider, and specialty cocktails like the Pimm's Cup. As you approach midnight, I suggest the Viking Coffee from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion. This coffee-based cocktail is the perfect pick-me-up nightcap to help you power through the night until the clock hits 12!

I hope this answers your question, Pamela. If you have any additional questions or would like more recommendations, let me know!

    Cheers,
    Brent
