Hey there, Laurel!
Welcome to planDisney and we're so happy to see you here! Oh boy, it sounds like you have plans to visit the Happiest Place on Earth during the Merriest Time at the Resort, the
Holiday Season! It's one of the most beautiful times to visit and my sister makes it a point to bring her kids every year just to enjoy the decorations.
When you purchase a Disneyland Resort
Theme Park Ticket, it entitles you to visit one or both Parks (depending on if you bought a One Park Per Day or
Park Hopper Ticket) during normal operating hours for that day. As of the writing of this response, Disney has not announced any reason for the Parks to close early that day (such as a special ticketed After Hours Event) so you will be able to stay in the Parks from open to close (including nighttime) and have a fun-filled, magical and festive day!
And the great news is that Holiday offerings at the Disneyland Resort will extend all the way into January, so you'll still be able to enjoy attraction overlays such as
Haunted Mansion Holiday and
"it's a small world" Holiday. If you didn't get enough festive foods, you'll find plenty more at the
Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure.
I hope that was helpful for you, Laurel. Don't forget to make your dining reservations beginning 60 days in advance of your visit. If you need any more planning advice from us, please feel free to write again anytime! You're always welcome at planDisney! Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
