If I buy a ticket for a After Hours event, is this separate from the other park ticket I have? To explain: I want to take my kid to the After Hours for Animal Kingdom, but I plan to use my regular park ticket to spend the day at Epcot.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marci! Tic-tock! Your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner. Are you counting down the days? I know I do!

When it comes to attending an event like Disney After Hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you do need a special event ticket. This means that your regular theme park ticket can be used for entry into the theme parks during regular park hours. If you want to attend an after-hours event at any of the parks, you would need to purchase an additional ticket.

Marci, you can spend the day exploring Epcot with your son, then when the clock strikes 8:30 p.m., your special event ticket would give you access to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

You can savor complimentary ice cream, popcorn and select beverages as you are enjoying the most popular attractions at the park with little to no wait times. Like Pandora- World of Avatar and its most sought-after attractions, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey.

To purchase tickets, you can visit the Disney After Hours ticket site. Remember that Disney Vacation Club Members and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders receive a discount on tickets for this fun event.

I hope this information is helpful to you as you put those finishing touches on your magical visit. Feel free to stop by again with any additional questions you might have. Helping you with the details of your next stay is our pleasure!
